Maryland DDA Waiver Webinars

posted Dec 22, 2012, 9:54 AM by Reda Sheinberg

DDA made two multi-hour presentations  on upcoming changes to Medicaid (Waiver) policy.  DDA is taking advantage of the mandatory five year renewal of MD’s Medicaid waiver (which provides the matching funds for DDA disbursements to individuals with disabilities) this Spring to make a number of changes to the program.

Importantly, all the slides and a recording of the webinars are available on the DDA website. Go to http://dda.dhmh.maryland.gov/SitePages/waiverrenewal.aspx and halfway down the page you will see the following, where you can click on PDFs for the slides and/or listen to a recording of the webinar if you wish.

--Importantly, DDA is actively seeking input, in part by establishing a Waiver Advisory Committee consisting of many stakeholders--including Penn-Mar, which won the award last week (at the same presentation where Wolf was honored) for Best Agency. Also people were asked to submit suggestions to ddfeedback@hilltop.umbc.edu.  Frank Kirkland, head of DDA: “We appreciate your input.” He also gave out his personal email: Frank.Kirkland@Maryland.gov (could be Frank.Kirkland@MD.gov).
